Jake Seal is a pioneering British director, producer, actor and businessman who has risen to prominence through his adoption of advanced production techniques such as virtual sets, photogrammetry, in camera compositing and holograms. Throughout his successful career in moviemaking he has produced several hit movies, including Born to be Blue (2015), Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017) and Blaze (2018), to name a few.
As a principal of Black Hangar Studios, Jake leads a world-class film studio that caters for all types of productions, working with industry giants such as Star Wars, Disney, National Geographic and the BBC. Situated in the heart of Hampshire, with excellent transport and road access, Black Hangar Studios boasts one of the largest stages in the whole of the United Kingdom.

In addition to his role in the British entertainment industry, Jake Seal is also an accomplished technologist and entrepreneur, having made a significant impact on moviemaking through his dedication to the craft and innovative approach. He has been behind several world firsts in terms of film production technology and has presented masterclasses and lectured at venues around the world, including the internationally renowned CERN in Switzerland.

In his role as principal of Black Hangar Studios, Jake Seal oversees operations at a fully integrated studio featuring virtual sets, a wide-ranging backlot and Europe’s largest standing green screen cyclorama. Productions filmed here include blockbusters like Die Another Day and Star Wars: Rogue One, as well as internationally acclaimed television series including Top Gear and Dr Who.

With an extensive career spanning several decades, Jake has made significant contributions to both the technological and cinematic landscapes. He is renowned for his production expertise, having successfully spearheaded the creation of several notable movies that have captivated audiences all over the world. His deep understanding of technology and innovative mindset have led him to revolutionise production techniques, playing an integral role in game-changing advancements in augmented reality, 3D stereoscopic technology and 3D live-action holograms that have reshaped the way movies are conceptualised, produced and experienced. For the past few years he has been busy exploring the emerging AI technologies and applying them into production pipelines, through his collaborative think tank Black Eye Media.
